As we'll tell anyone who will listen, the Yass Valley, located just over the border from Canberra, really is a gem of a destination with world class food, wine and unique agricultural visitor experiences.
Our wider region has some excellent places to stop for a coffee, whether as a destination in itself or as part of a day out in the country.
So why not take an easy drive out of Canberra and explore somewhere new for a rejuvenating escape. Here are our top picks, in no particular order, as they are all wonderful.
Trader & Co
Located just off the main street in Yass, Trader & Co is an amazing family run cafe and proud home to Six8 Coffee Roasters. Daniel, Toni and their community minded team roast their own beans and craft perfect coffee, everytime.
Stay for their wholesome food and browse their unique selection of sustainable gift ware. You can also stock up on bulk wholefoods and cleaning products while you are visiting.
Did you know, Six8 Coffee Roasters lead the 'Every Bean Counts' campaign against child slavery, drawing on Daniel and Toni's previous service to communities abroad.
We can't get enough of their beautiful coffee and we are so proud to use the SIx8 Coffee Roaster's Bohemian blend in our chocolate coated coffee beans.

Little Sutton Bakehouse
Little Sutton Bakehouse has become a mainstay in our family and among our team for tasty treats and the best quality bread!
Located just 10 minutes from the Canberra border, Little Sutton makes a wonderful destination for motorists and cyclists alike. For a full country experience, visit on the second Sunday of the month when the Sutton Village Country Markets are on.
Little Sutton serves beautiful coffee and you can also fuel your day with one of their amazing smoothies. You'll want to indulge a perfectly crafted pie and don't forget to take some treats home for later. Bread and butter pudding is a favourite of ours, and we think you'll love it too!

Our Murrumbateman community hit the jackpot when Two Before Ten teamed up with Clementine Bakery to deliver the partnership of all partnerships in the heart of Murrumbateman Village.

Cork Street Cafe
Situated in the old police stables in the charming main street of historic Gundaroo, Cork Street Cafe serves beautiful coffee by Barrio alongside house-made cakes. Better yet, stay for lunch and enjoy one of their famed wood fired pizzas.
